Once you find the chimps, you’ll have the opportunity to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat, observing how they feed and interact with each other. After this incredible chimpanzee encounter, you’ll head back to your lodging for a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll leave Nyungwe National Park and travel to Kahuzi Biega National Park, located near Bukavu. You’ll cross the Cyangugu border into Congo and check into your lodge for some much-needed downtime, dinner, and an overnight stay. Your meal plan includes all meals.

Start your day early with breakfast before heading to the park headquarters. Get briefed on tracking guidelines and the park’s history.
