ITINERARY IN DETAIL FOR 5 DAYS KENYA SAFARI

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will pick your 4×4 car rental jeep from our company representative and later on drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a protected game sanctuary for endangered species of both Black & White rhino among other usual game such as the leopard and Lion. You will have lunch at the camp followed by an afternoon game drive tillsunset. Dinner and overnight at flamingo Hill Camp (full board).

Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Enjoy an early morning game drive before coming back for breakfast, after which you will proceed for the world’s famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve which means “spotted plains” in the Mara language. This is home to the largest population of large mammals and is extensively recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. This reserve is nearby Tanzania’s Serengeti which makes this place famous for staging the annual migration of wildebeest.

Check-in upon arrival followed by lunch and depart for an evening game viewing drive. You will take take in impressive sceneries of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets. You will drive through never-ending plains, while witnessing the abundant variety of wildlife that you have only seen before!

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge (full board).

Day 3: Masai Mara

During your stay on this day 3, you have the opportunity to explore this great reserve in depth. You will spot elephants, giraffes, prides of lions, and thousands of impalas, Topi, grants and Thomson’s gazelle. Birds are prolific including immigrants, 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey. The Mara is the scene of annual migration of millions of wildebeest up from the Serengeti plains in search of water and grasses. While in Mara, you will have the option to float above the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem on board a hot air balloon followed by a gourmet champagne breakfast (at an extra cost).

Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

Rise up early for the morning game drive and return afterwards for breakfast. Check out shortly and make our way to Lake Naivasha which is the first of the Rift Valley Lakes and is set at the foot of Mount Logonot, on the north side. It was on Lake Naivasha that East Africa’s first air-passengers used to land in the flying boats of Imperial Airways. After lunch at the lodge, enjoy a walk by the shores of the lake, and take a boat ride to see a variety of birds hovering above.

Return for dinner and overnight at Naivasha Sopa Lodge (full board).

Day 5: From Lake Naivasha to Nairobi for departure

After breakfast, drive out across and over the rift escarpment to Nairobi. Transfer directly to JKIA for your outbound flight.
