Day 1; A Pickup and drive to Lake Manyara National Park

On day 1, the driver will warmly welcome you at the airport as a start for your 5-day Northern Tanzania safari stay in Tanzania. You will also be briefed shortly about the safari then you will start off with your journey to Lake Manyara National Park which is the only Tanzanian home to the tree-climbing lions. Along your journey to Lake Manyara National Park, you will enjoy the views of the Rift Valley escarpment.

When you arrive, you will head straight to the lodge, check in, have a delicious meal (lunch), and then head up for an afternoon game drive within the national park. During the afternoon game drive, you will be able to get views of different wildlife species such as elephants, zebras, gazelles, buffalos, giraffes, bushbucks, waterbucks, impalas, hippos, baboons, monkeys, climbing lions, and many others within the park. After the game drive, you will then be driven back to the place of accommodation (lodge) where you will have dinner and rest after the long full of exciting busy day.

Day 2; Treetop/canopy walk and a game drive within Lake Manyara National Park

On day 2 of the Northern Tanzania safari, you will have a delicious breakfast at the lodge, after then head to Lake Manyara National Park where you will engage in the canopy/treetop walkway along a bridge that is suspended about 400 meters long and about 18 meters above the ground all through the forest.

During the canopy walk, you will have a chance to see the various bird species within Lake Manyara National Park like the African fish eagle, African grey hornbill, Comb duck, Crowned eagle, African hawk eagle, African jacana, African spoonbill, Baglafecht weaver, Great white pelican, Greater flamingo,

Grey crowned crane, Hamerkop. Later on, you will indulge in a game drive within the park where you will be able to see wildlife species such as elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, waterbucks, giraffes, monkeys, leopards, bushbucks, gazelles, and many others. You will also be able to get views of the flamingoes around the shores of the lake. After the long experience, you will head back to your lodge where you will be served dinner and then have the overnight rest.

Day 3: Mto wa Mbu visit including a drive to Tarangire National Park

On day 3, you will start with a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up by the driver and then start the journey to Tarangire National Park. As you head to Tarangire National Park, you will drive by Mto wa Mbu town where you will stop by to see and experience the cultural nature of the town. You will also head to Mto wa Mbu local market, see the craft shops, see the “manyattas” and enjoy the traditional dances.

After, you will leave the small town and head straight to Tarangire National Park where you will check in at the place of accommodation, have lunch, and then indulge in a game drive as you see the numerous wildlife within Tarangire National Park such as klipspringers, elephants, leopards, lions, zebras, buffalos, antelopes, and many others, you will also explore the savannah plains, see the baobab trees and others, after the game drive, you will then be driven back to your lodge where you will have dinner and the night rest after the day

Day 4: Transfer to Arusha and visit Lake Duluti in Arusha

On day 4, you will have breakfast, then head to Arusha and straight to Lake Duluti which is a distance of about 1 hour 30 minutes from Lake Manyara. Lake Duluti is a crater lake that offers a great canoeing experience. During the canoeing activity, you will also have views of the numerous bird species around the lake.

The canoe ride is a very interesting activity around the lake which gives you breathtaking views of the beautiful nature around. You will also have a guided hike around the lake where you will learn and explore the history of the park including the lizards that be around looking for sunshine and also the flora and fauna around the lake. Later on, you will return to Arusha city for a brief city tour then head back to the lodge for dinner and the overnight rest.

Day 5; Departure

Day 5 will be the last day of your 5-day Northern Tanzania safari, on this day, you will wake up and have breakfast, after breakfast you will be picked up by a driver from the lodge who will drive you to Arusha International Airport to catch the flight. Your 5-day Tanzanian wildlife safari will have unfortunately come to end.
