This 2-day water rafting will take you to Jinja city the second largest city after Kampala which is located on the shores of the biggest lake in East Africa lake victoria. Jinja district is strategically positioned on the shores of Lake Victoria adjacent to the source of the River Nile and was established in 1907.

The River Nile in Jinja is home to the best Jinja Whitewater rafting and Kayaking. The stretch with rapids was previously measured at 10km long until late when the power dam was constructed.

White water rafting in Jinja is slitted into morning and afternoon sessions. One can opt for a half day of white water rafting but you will only go for the morning shift, while the full day continues till evening.

Detailed Itinerary for 2 days rafting at River Nile in Uganda

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Jinja

Upon arrival, you will pick up your self-drive safari car from our representative, with whom you will thoroughly inspect the status of the car. After this, drive to Jinja Town, with an enroute stop over at the Sezibwa Falls for a guided nature walk and and sightseeing.

You will also stop at Mabira Forest where you will head for another forest walk. By chance, you might encounter numerous bird species, and various monkeys.

Proceed through the cane plantations to Bujagali Falls and stop at the source of the Nile for an exclusive boat ride. Dinner and overnight rest at your preferred lodge

Day 2: Full-Day White Water Rafting

The morning session starts at 9 am. After breakfast, You will join your fellow rafters for registration and the briefing, after which you will be given life jackets, helmets, paddles, and other rafting gear.

Rafting on the Nile may continue for up to 4 hours, after then you will break off for lunch in the middle of the water.

Half-day rafters can stop at this point and either head for other activities like; quad biking, horse riding, or bungee jumping. Each activity takes one hour.

While full-day rafters, proceed with their rafting till evening. After completing the activities, you will drive back to your hotel in Kampala, or proceed to Entebbe international airport for your scheduled flight.
