Brief Information about Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

Bwindi is located in Uganda’s southwest province, near the rift valley’s edge. The impenetrable forest, also known as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, is surrounded by Rwanda. It has a total area of 331 square kilometers but is also located in the highest regions of the Kigezi hills at an elevation of 1,190 to 2,607 meters above ground, with 60% of this mystical park over 2,000 meters. The highest point in the park is Rwamunyonyi hill on the park’s eastern side, while the lowest point is near the park’s northern end.

Bwindi is located around 540 kilometers from Kampala, right on the western rift valley’s edge, and is mostly accessible by road. It is situated in the districts of Kabale, Kanungu, and Kisoro in Uganda. The ancient woodland is surrounded by heavily produced agricultural fields that were once tropical forests
