A Detailed 11 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Handing over of the car
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by the team from Car Rental 4×4 Africa, who will provide you with the jeep and offer an orientation on its operation as well as the camping gear before you drive to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park with enroute rhino tracking at Ziwa Sanctuary.
Following breakfast in the morning, to Murchison Falls National park via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino Tracking. You are expected to arrive at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary by approximately 10:00 AM for Rhino Tracking.

Following the Rhino tracking, you will enjoy lunch before continuing your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will then proceed to visit the top of the falls and subsequently drive to the lodge where you will spend the night. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at:

Day 3: Morning game drive followed by an afternoon boat cruise downstream to the base of the falls.
Begin your day by rising early, enjoying just a little breakfast, perhaps a cup of tea or coffee, before embarking on a morning safari game drive along the northern bank of the Nile River. This is an opportunity to observe early risers such as lions, leopards, hyenas, bushbucks, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, jackals, and various bird species before they retreat to their hiding spots. Return to the Lodge for a later breakfast and enjoy some relaxation while you await lunch. Following lunch, you will embark on an exhilarating boat trip downstream to the base of the falls on the Victoria Nile. This experience will offer you remarkable views of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and buffaloes, as they come to drink, along with a diverse array of bird species. Please return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park.
Following breakfast, you will commence a scenic self-drive safari through Uganda, heading south towards Kibale Forest National Park. This journey will take you through Fort Portal, a picturesque town with views of the Mountains of the Moon.

The journey to Kibale National Park via the western scenic route will traverse the Albertine Rift, located in the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley. You will arrive at Fort Portal in the early evening. Proceed to your lodge for check-in, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at your selected accommodation.

DAY 5: Morning chimpanzee tracking followed by an afternoon transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
An early start is recommended. Enjoy your breakfast before driving to the Park headquarters for your chimpanzee tracking experience. This begins with a briefing from the head guide.
Once the briefing is complete, you will commence tracking alongside the lead guide, who will attentively listen for pant-hooting calls to locate the chimps and guide you to their location. There are increased opportunities to observe various primates, including black and white Colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked Mangabeys, among others. Return to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, crossing the equator, and arrive in the evening. Please proceed to check in at your lodge.

Day 6: Morning game drive and afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise.
Following a cup of coffee or a complete breakfast, you will depart for an early morning game drive in the savanna, heading towards the Kasenyi plains within the park. You will monitor for lions. Leopards, Cape buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, spotted hyenas, mongooses, waterbucks, elephants, and warthogs, among others.
You will subsequently return to the lodge for your breakfast and lunch break. In the afternoon, following your lunch, make your way to the jetty for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This excursion offers the opportunity to observe numerous hippopotamuses, crocodiles, buffaloes, and elephants as they come to drink, along with a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 7: Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with a game drive in the Ishasha Sector along the way.
At the top of the Uganda Highlights safari, the seventh day is expertly organized; this is where things start to get truly fascinating. Following breakfast, proceed to Bwindi Forest National Park, passing through the Ishasha sector, renowned for its tree-climbing lions.

A game drive will be conducted in pursuit of the tree-climbing lions, which are occasionally observed resting among the branches of ancient fig trees. Make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the southwestern region of the country. Upon your arrival, you will unwind at the lodge in anticipation of the gorilla trek scheduled for the following day. Dinner and overnight accommodations at.

DAY 8: Mountain Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Kisoro Town.
Following breakfast in the early morning, you are to report to the park office for a briefing regarding the gorilla tracking activity. You will subsequently be assigned to a specific gorilla family, which you will track before entering the forest to commence your gorilla trekking adventure.

The duration of tracking is contingent upon the movement patterns of the Gorillas and the overall effectiveness of the team in terms of mobility. The steep, forested landscape is remarkably dense, yet it is interspersed with numerous animal trails that facilitate access for tourists. The tracking process may require a duration of 3 to 6 hours. Upon locating the gorillas, you will be expected to remain with the gorillas for a maximum duration of one hour, during which you may observe and capture photographs. You will subsequently return and drive to Kisoro town, where you will spend the night at

DAY 9: Golden monkey tracking in Mgahinga and Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
Following your breakfast in the morning, you will embark on a golden monkey tracking experience in Mgahinga National Park, where you can observe their playful activities in the forest. These monkeys are fascinating examples of endangered species.
Upon your return, you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight stay. Experience the finest perspective of the lake.

Day 10. Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park followed by an afternoon game drive safari.
On this day, your 10 days Uganda Primates & Wildlife safari adventure experience is sure to be exceptional. At this stage, you will be concluding your final day, but there is still a bit more to explore in this charming Savannah safari park.
Following a leisurely breakfast in the morning, you will depart for Lake Mburo National Park, with a lunch stop in Mbarara town. You will then proceed to enter the park. You will embark on an afternoon safari game drive and subsequently check in to your lodge for an overnight stay at;

Day 11: Morning game walk/game drive safari and transfer to Kampala
Following breakfast, you will embark on a safari game drive, or you may opt for a game walk, allowing for an up-close view of the Savannah’s wildlife. Your journey to Kampala will commence with opportunities for animal viewing along the route. There will be scheduled stopovers at the equator for shopping and a visit to local drum makers. You will subsequently proceed to either Kampala or Entebbe based on your departure schedule.
