Day 1: Travel from Kampala/Entebbe to Jinja
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the Car rental 4×4 staff will be present at the arrivals area to provide you with the Ugandan registered rental car. They will orient you regarding the 4×4 SUV, driving regulations, and activity confirmation vouchers before you embark on your journey to Jinja City, known for its industrial significance during the 1980s. Recommended accommodations include 2 friends, Nile Raft Camp, and Lake Victoria Resort Hotel. All of these hotels provide bed and breakfast services.
Day 2: Engaging in white water rafting in Jinja
You will be collected by Nile White Rafting from your accommodation and transported to the starting point for your rafting adventure.

You will engage in a full day of water rafting on the Nile, and later in the evening, you will return to your accommodation for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Drive to Sipi Falls
Following a morning boat cruise to explore the source of the Nile, you will embark on a drive to the border of Mount Elgon National Park, home to the Sipi Falls.
You will spend the night in nearby accommodations in preparation for the next day’s visit to the waterfalls and a nature walk through the local community, where you will encounter a variety of cultural experiences with local guides.
Day 4: Hiking to Sipi Falls and engaging in a nature walk, along with cultural experiences.
Experience a day filled with adventure and cultural exploration at Sipi Falls. This journey includes hiking, abseiling, and a coffee tour, offering an unforgettable encounter with Uganda’s most stunning waterfalls.
Explore the Sipi Falls Hike, Abseiling, and Coffee Tour Experience, which provides an exceptional blend of adventure and cultural engagement, offering a distinctive insight into Uganda’s natural beauty and rich local traditions. Day 5: Drive to Pain Upe Game Reserve and partake in an evening game drive.
Following breakfast, you will depart and begin your drive towards northern Uganda, specifically to the Pain Upe Game Reserve, which has now been designated as a National Park due to its stunning landscapes, comparable to those of Kidepo Valley National Park. For those interested in nature and scenic views, a stop at Pian Upe Game Reserve is highly recommended during a self-drive safari. An evening game drive will take place in Pain Upe, followed by a return to the campsite for an overnight stay at Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas.
Day 6: Commence with a morning game drive followed by travel to Moroto.
Following breakfast, embark on a morning game drive across the savanna plains to observe the resident wildlife, including cheetahs, kobs, Roan antelopes, Elands, zebras, Oribis, hartebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and more. After returning for lunch, proceed to Moroto town, where you will stay at Karatunga Guest House, a reputable establishment known for facilitating visits to the local Karamoja community near the park. This offers a unique cultural experience featuring dance and drama performances, along with opportunities to learn from the community.
Day 7: Karamajongo cultural experience with Karatunga
You will take a detour to Nakaperumoru to meet the Jie warriors alongside the Karatunga Foundation, a community enterprise dedicated to supporting the Karamoja region. You will spend the entire day with the community, and in the evening, you will have the opportunity to participate in the community night dance in the local villages.
Day 8: Journey to Kidepo Valley National Park
Leave your camp early in the morning for a game drive before leaving Kidepo. Proceed southward into the Karamoja region, exploring the cultural heritage of the Karamajong people. Stunning landscapes featuring rock formations and volcanoes emerging from the Savannah plains, complemented by the villages and intricately designed bomas of the Karamojong.
Day 9: Game drive
Embark on an exploration of the Kidepo Valley National Park. In addition to the stunning landscapes and expansive African skies, this wildlife park in Uganda is renowned for its rich biodiversity, featuring a wide array of antelopes, zebras, giraffes, elephants, and water buffaloes, along with lions and the potential sighting of leopards and cheetahs.
Arrive at Apoka, the park headquarters for lunch, and then proceed to Kakine Lookout for a wilderness camping experience with a panoramic view of the savannah plains of Kidepo Valley below. Unwind in the late afternoon, appreciating the surroundings and anticipating a magnificent sunset. An evening of dining and beverages by the campfire, accompanied by the brilliance of Africa’s night sky.
Day 10: Engage in a game drive and then continue to Acaki Guest House in Kitgum.
Morning game drive, returning to the hunting grounds with a breakfast stop by the Nile.
Proceed through the park along pathways particularly noted for elephant sightings. Go to Gulu for a quick replenishment and lunch.
Proceed to the northern region of Uganda to explore the remote and remarkable Kidepo Valley National Park, recognized by CNN as the second-best park in all of Africa. This journey by road and track offers an exceptional experience through remote villages and a dynamic landscape, culminating in a restful evening at Kidepo Savannah Lodge—a luxurious safari banda that overlooks the valley, complete with a stunning hilltop restaurant for relaxation and unwinding.
Day 11: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 12: Game drive and boat cruise.
Commence your day with breakfast at Red Chili, subsequently enjoy a tranquil boat safari to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls. The wildlife along the banks of the Nile is remarkable, featuring elephants, hippos, water buffalos, and a variety of bird species such as kingfishers, weaver birds, and fish eagles.
A quick transfer to the renowned Paraa Lodge for lunch and a leisurely noon walk around the pool with a view of the Nile.
Depart in the mid-afternoon for a guided game safari through the savannah plains, heading towards the Nile Delta and Lake Albert. Settle into the camp and embark on an evening game drive through the hunting grounds – an excellent chance to observe lions and leopards in action.
Convene at the campsite for a barbecue and refreshments by the campfire. Even though this is wild camping, there is a hot shower and a toilet seat that folds up. Welcome to Africa.
Day 13: hike to the top of the falls and Drive to Ziwa.
Morning Rhino tracking accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Participants will have the opportunity to walk alongside rhinos and gain insights into the commendable initiative aimed at reintroducing the white rhino into Uganda’s parks.
Leave Ziwa and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Experience the top of the falls, recognized as the most powerful on the planet, where the River Nile is channeled through a narrow 7-meter wide opening. Lunch served later in the day with a view of the Nile rapids.
To spend the night, make a quick drive from the falls to the Red Chili Rest camp. Relax in the bar and restaurant featuring a lodge fire with views of the Nile basin.
Day 14: Engage in Rhino Tracking and continue to Kibale Forest National Park.
Day 15: Participate in Chimpanzee Tracking followed by an afternoon visit to the craters.
Brief transfer to Kyambura Gorge for a chimpanzee trekking experience. Descend into the gorge with experienced guides and observe the chimpanzees as they engage in playful activities and search for food along the riverbanks or within the tree canopy above.
Depart from Queen Elizabeth National Park and proceed north for lunch at Fort Portal, continuing through picturesque tea plantations and rolling hills to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Set up camp for the evening at the Ziwa campground, complete with a campfire, dinner, and beverages. In fortunate circumstances, the rhinos may be observed grazing near the reinforced campground fence during the evening or early morning hours.
Day 16: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with a stopover at the equator line.
Embark on a dawn game drive through Ishasha, followed by a journey to the Kazinga Channel, situated in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Enjoy a serene boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, an excellent opportunity to observe the diverse wildlife, including elephants, water buffalos, and hippos, as well as various aquatic and avian species such as kingfishers, weaver birds, and fish eagles along the banks.
Enjoy lunch at the community boat dock, followed by a brief hike between the stunning twin crater lakes at Kichwambiya, concluding with afternoon tea at the viewpoint.
Experience a late afternoon game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, followed by check-in at a luxury banda at Bush Lodge, which offers stunning views of the Kazinga Channel.
Day 17: Engaging in a game drive followed by a boat cruise on the channel.
Day 18: Game drive in Ishasha Sector
Proceed to Buhoma Gorilla Headquarters for a briefing, followed by a cultural dance presentation, and subsequently embark on a trek through the forest to observe the mountain gorillas. This is a remarkable opportunity to engage with our close relatives in their natural environment for an hour.
Upon completing the trek, reboard the truck and drive along the forest trail for a guided game drive at Ishasha Wildlife Reserve, which is a section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The area is rich in wildlife, featuring elephants, kob, topi, hippos, and water buffalos, as well as the distinctive tree-climbing lions.
Experience camping in the park alongside a ranger near the hippo pools on the Ishasha River.
Day 19: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Depart after breakfast for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park hosts a variety of bird species, butterflies, primates, and mammals. The journey offers a picturesque view of the terraced hills in the Kigezi highlands. The local community meticulously terraces these hills in preparation for planting potatoes in their gardens.

Day 20: Engaging in gorilla trekking in Uganda
Embark on an expedition through the dense forest to observe the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Initially, you will receive a briefing from the ranger guide. Subsequently, you will be assigned a gorilla family to monitor, and you will collaborate with other individuals in this group.
Some gorilla groups’ trailheads are farther from where the briefing is held, so you will drive you to the starting place. Experience the day in the dense forest, where you will have a maximum of one hour with the gorillas once they are located. Please maintain a respectful level of silence while observing them.

Day 21: Tracking Golden Monkeys in Mgahinga National Park
In Mgahinga Goilla National Park, you will do golden monkey tracking, which begins in the morning and follows the same regulations as mountain gorilla trekking and chimpanzee viewing.

The trailhead for certain groups is located away from the briefing point; therefore, your will drive to the starting location. Experience a day in the Virunga Massif, where you will have up to one hour with the golden monkeys once they are located. Please maintain a respectful silence during the viewing and subsequently return to the campsite.
Day 22: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
This morning, following breakfast, you will proceed to the serene Lake Mburo National Park, recognized as the smallest of the savannah national parks in Uganda. Consider a stopover at the Igongo Museum for lunch, followed by a visit to the Ankole cultural museum.
Please proceed to your lodge for check-in, and subsequently return to the park for an evening nature walk. A two-hour walk will be conducted with a ranger guide who will provide in-depth insights into the park and its wildlife.

Day 23: Community Experience
Get an early morning experience in milking cows from a cattle kraal located near the park. Please return to the lodge for breakfast and proceed with the check-out process. A stopover at the renowned equator monument will be included for photography and shopping opportunities. Make your way to your hotel in Kampala for the night.
Day 24: Proceeding to Mabamba Swamp
After meeting and briefing at your accommodation, make a quick transfer to Nakiwogo, a bustling fishing community. You can take a short ferry ride across Lake Victoria to go on a boat tour with a birding guide to Mabamba Swamp and see the famous shoebill stork. This is a great way to get to know Uganda’s amazing birdlife..
