Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Pick up your car from Entebbe/Kigali International Airport (or from Kampala) or the hotel after breakfast and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest or Mgahinga gorilla National park, with a stopover in Mbarara (from Uganda) town for lunch. Proceed through a breath-taking scenic view popularly known as the “Switzerland of Africa” to the park, To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Cultural Walk.

Day 2 of 3 days Uganda gorilla self drive safari sends you for the most captivating experience with the gorillas in their home. After breakfast, drive to the headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers about the dos and don’ts when looking for and when with the gorillas. Proceed for the evocative adventure penetrating the impenetrable forest of Bwindi or Mgahinga in search for the gorillas. This may take 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the animals. You will spend at most 1 hour interacting with the gorilla’s as they play, feed or rest while taking your observations and photographs after which you will return to receive your certificate.

However, you may go for a cultural walk in the nearby Batwa (Pygmies) community, where you will be entertained and given tales of their unique culture.

Day 3: Depart For Entebbe.
