Day By Day Itinerary For The 6 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

Collect your car on arrival from Entebbe international Airport and drive to Kibale Forest national Park via fort Portal. On your way to Kibale Forest national Park, you could choose to pass via Fort Portal with lunch enroute. Upon arrival at Kibale Forest national Park, you can proceed to the crater lakes, where you have breathtaking views of the terraced tea estates. Drive back to the Lodge for dinner and an over night.

Day 2: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Day 2 sends you off for an exhilarating and thrilling chimpanzee experience in the wild. Start your journey to the primate capital of Kibale Forest National Park to meet face to face with the chimpanzees. You will start with morning briefing at Kanyanchu visitor center at 8:00am. Along with the group and the ranger guide, you enter into the wild to search for chimpanzees, and might take between 5-8 hours. Upon finding them, you are entitled to see the chimpanzees face to face. From here return to the headquarters for Chimpanzee trekking permit certificate for tracking chimpanzees.

Return in the lodge for Lunch and later embark on your 3 hours self drive to Queen Elizabeth national Park for an exclusive wildlife experience.

Day 3:Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Kazinga channel

Start your day with a great cup of coffee to kickstart your morning game drive. You will drive along the Kasenyi plains alongside other tracks to spot numerous game including antelopes, Elephants, solitary buffaloes, lions, warthogs, and various birds.

After 2-3 hours, you drive back to the Lodge for a mid morning breakfast at your lodge, and spend the rest of the time relaxing and later on have lunch. Proceed to the boat for a ride on Kazinga channel where you will sight many elephants at the bank, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, waterbucks, birds etc.

Day 4: Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Today is the day when you drive to Uganda’s most famous tourist Uganda national Park. Get a good start of the day with an early morning breakfast, and get behind the wheel so you can enjoy your morning game drive along the Isasha sector, where you might meet the tree climbing Lions on top of the Acacia tree branches. Proceed for lunch, and arrive in your hotel in the afternoon, check in and relax as you prepare for the interesting moment of the following day.

Day 5: The Uganda Gorilla trekking Experience

Today you will spend your day with the Mountain Gorilla in Bwindi Impenetrable national Park. You will start your day by driving to the park headquarters for a few briefing gorilla trekking. After here, the ranger guide along with the other group members shall leave for the search of the gorillas. Gorilla trekking usually lasts from 2-8 hours depending on your group physical strength and position where the gorillas might have moved. Upon meeting them, you will be allowed to interact with them for at most 1 hour. Return to the headquarters for lunch for your certificate and depart for your hotel/Lodge.

There is plenty to do in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. So before you ,move from the area, you can choose to go for the Batwa community visit for an impressive cultural experience with the locals.

Day 6: Fare Well to Entebbe

It time to say goodbye! Today you will drop off your self drive rental car at any location of choice in Kampala or Entebbe otherwise at Entebbe International Airport.
