Detailed 7 Days Self Drive Kenya Safari
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve
The safari commences with a vehicle drop-off by our company representative at your accommodation in Nairobi or at the airport. Commence your tour with a stop at the Great Rift Valley, renowned for its stunning vistas and photographic opportunities, which extends from the northern to the southern regions of Kenya. At this juncture, you may want to visit the art and artisan market to acquire African goods before continuing your drive to Masai Mara.
The journey to the park will greet you with wildlife sightings, including zebras, warthogs, wildebeests, monkeys, baboons, and giraffes. Check in at the hotel, eat lunch, and proceed to your initial game drive, where you will observe Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Kobs, Leopards, Buffaloes, Antelopes, among numerous other species. Proceed to your lodge for check-in as you prepare for dinner and an overnight stay at Sentrim Mara Camp, AA Mara Lodge, or Zebra Plains Lodge.
Day 2: Full Day game drives in Masai Mara
Breakfast will be provided at your lodge; devote this day to observing wildlife in the Masai Mara National Reserve. On your game drive, you will observe a diverse array of wildlife, including predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, alongside other species like elephants, buffalo, hartebeest, zebras, antelopes, and wildebeest. This destination is particularly remarkable during the wildebeest migration, when vast numbers traverse the savannah plains in pursuit of greener pastures.

You will partake in a picnic lunch in the bush, followed by continued game drive. You will return to your lodge, where dinner will be provided, and you will spend the night in its luxury as previously mentioned.
Day 3: Transition to Lake Nakuru
You will have breakfast at your lodge in Masai Mara National Reserve, then check out as you proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, traversing the Rift Valley escarpment while appreciating the picturesque nature surrounding you. During the journey, you will experience a game drive where you will observe several wildlife species, including giraffes, rhinos, gazelles, buffalos, antelopes, reedbucks, elands, and impalas, among others.

A game drive in Lake Nakuru will commence after check-in, followed by lunch at your lodge. Post-lunch, another game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park will take place, where you will observe the flamingo-populated Lake Nakuru, an excellent avian observation site for flocks of flamingos along the shores, as well as various bird and wildlife species grazing in the adjacent plains. You will be transported back to your resort following your evening game drive to have supper and overnight accommodations at Lake Nakuru Flamingo resort or Sentrim Elementaita Camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Following breakfast, vacate the accommodation and commence your travel from Lake Nakuru National Park to Lake Naivasha, both located in the Great Rift Valley region. Within a 1-2 hour drive, you will arrive at Lake Naivasha, where you will check into your resort for lunch. Subsequently, you may partake in an optional afternoon boat excursion to observe a variety of aquatic animals, including hippos, crocodiles, and other water birds. You may choose to partake in a game drive in Hell’s Gate National Park till sunset. You will subsequently return to your lodge for dinner and enjoy an overnight stay at your reserved accommodation at Triple Eden Naivasha Hotel or Lake Naivasha Resort.
Lake Nakuru National Park
Days 5 and 6: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
Upon completing breakfast, vacate the resort and commence a trip to Amboseli National Park.You will go on a on route game drive to observe various wildlife species that are particularly active in the morning in Tsavo East National Park, which can be readily spotted on your journey to Amboseli National Park.
Upon arriving at Amboseli National Park, check into your lodge and have lunch before embarking on an expedition into the wilderness to observe various wildlife species grazing, roaming, and hunting in the savannah. You will appreciate photography and the vistas of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the backdrop of the national park during your game drive while admiring the exquisite environment and sunset. While exploring Amboseli National Park, you may encounter several wildlife species, including elephants, lions, buffalo, hippopotamuses, impalas, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and lesser kudu, among others. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at Sentrim Amboseli Lodge or AA Amboseli Lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Nairobi Airport
Following breakfast, you will be transported back to Nairobi, where a city tour will be conducted if time permits, prior to your transfer to the airport for your departing flight.
